Is it possible to change the reference genome? I believe default human genome is hg38, is it possible to change it to hg19.

No, it is not possible to change the reference genome for human. However, tools like liftover, can be used outside of our API, to convert hg19 coordinates to hg38.

I’m working on a tool that’s powered by AlphaGenome and lets you use all of the AlphaGenome features in a GUI, amongst other things. One of the features it has is the ability to automatically translate hg19 to hg38, as well as mm9 to mm10 😁

It’ll be free of course, and open source. I’m almost done, trying to get it done by this weekend. Will share it here with the community when it’s ready!

Hi, Cameron. Your work looks very cool. I wanna know when you will release this GUI? Thanks in advance!
