Hi everyone,
I’d like to share APromoter Atlas, a resource I’ve been developing for exploring and designing human promoters using multi-omics foundation models (MFMs), including AlphaGenome.
APromoter is built around VirDLA (Virtual Dual-Luciferase Assay), a zero-shot virtual assay harness designed primarily for pre-screening promoter candidates before wet-lab experiments. VirDLA converts MFM readouts into internally normalized promoter activity estimates, allowing candidate sequences to be compared and prioritized before experimental validation.
The Atlas currently contains predicted promoter activity profiles for 20,018 human promoters across 285 precomputed tissues and cell types, while the VirDLA predictor supports predictions across 454 tissues and cell types.
The website lets users browse precomputed promoter profiles and run VirDLA virtual dual-luciferase assays on their own sequences—testing a single sequence in a selected tissue, evaluating multiple sequences in the same tissue, or comparing one sequence across a tissue panel. It also provides VirEvo for virtual directed evolution of promoter sequences.
Running VirDLA on your own sequences requires an API key. If you’d like to try it, feel free to email contact@apromoter.bio from your institutional email address.
Feedback and interesting test cases are very welcome!
